Gene Nataan Kingman Turquoise Bracelet size 7 1/8"

Gene Nataan is an accomplished Navajo silversmith whose work we've been showcasing on our website since 2004. We've watched Gene develop as a silversmith over the years, both in terms of his mastery of smithing techniques and his development of a style that is all his own.

This is a beautifully made wide cuff with sculpted edges, decorated by precise stampwork and a variety of appliquées, which include various sizes of raindrops and large starred buttons marking the equatorial center of the cuff. This shows Gene's particular skill in oxidizing cuffs to lend them an old pawn look. He set this cuff with a large, thick free-form stone of green Kingman turquoise from Arizona. This is a fine example of Navajo Traditional Revival jewelry.

Hallmarked N and stamped Sterling inside.
