Renowned for his tradional silverwork made without the use of electricity, Edison Smith does remarkably detailed work, often using repoussee stars. His work is hallmarked "ESS" below a star and stamped "Sterling" below his initials.

Herman Smith is a Navajo smith who mostly works in the Traditional Revival style, lending his bracelets an old-style look with a lightly brushed finish and careful oxidation. His stampwork is extremely precise and he uses heavy-gauge Sterling in his work. He mostly makes bracelets, rings and pins and uses fine turquoise, coral and lapis in his traditional designs. More recently he has been creating contemporary design pieces with channel inlay.
