This is Sophie's classic squash blossom necklace made with handmade beads with a double-row of beads on the bottom half of the necklace anchoring the squash blossoms. Her naja is simple and consists of two lengths of low-dome wire shaped in a horseshoe curve. Stones of natural, untreated Kingman turquoise are set at the opening of the horseshoe, while one stone sits at the tip of the horseshoe. She strung this on fine chain, which is how a squash blossom should be strung for durability. This is simple and traditional without being heavy.
Normally, the back of the naja is where the hallmark is to be found on a squash blossom, but she didn't bother to hallmark it and I don't think I've ever seen one of her pieces hallmarked.
