Robert Patricio is an active and prolific potter in his mid-thirties from Acoma Pueblo who does makes bowls and jars employing traditional designs. He often makes polychrome pieces (three or more colors), but is just as well-known for his dark brown natural wild spinach paint on a white slip. A photograph of Robert Patricio and an example of his work is shown on page 235 of Dr. Gregory Schaaf's book Southern Pueblo Pottery: 2,000 Artist Biographies. The painting is stunning on this jar with fluted edge. Great mix of classic Acoma design with a Tularosa flair. Wonderful golden mineral paint on this white slip. The shape is great.
