Melvin Francis is a Navajo silversmith who lives in the Gallup, New Mexico area. We first offered his work on our website in 2003, at which time he was beginning his smithing career. As of 2012 we've re-established contact with Melvin and he has matured as a silversmith and mastered many different styles and techniques in silversmithing.
The equatorial center of this bangle is decorated by a combination of repoussée diamonds and teardrops. Melvin's handmade stamps form additional bands of decoration between the center and the twisted square wire which forms the borders of this continuous ring of silver. Beautifully oxidized to accentuated the texture and design. Guaranteed to elicit compliments every time you wear this.
About fit: This is 3" in diameter and we tried it on someone who is 5' 8" tall (1 m. 72 cm.), 130 pounds and relatively fine-boned. It was no struggle to slip it on and off and no bending necessary. Though this person wears a size 6 1/4" bracelet, we felt it could still fit someone with a 6 1/2" wrist. And, of course, it should certainly fit anyone with a wrist smaller than 6 1/2" circumference.
Hallmarked "FRANCIS" and stamped "Sterling" inside.
Fits up to size 6 1/2" wrist
