Marcella Castillo has made a classic pair of earrings in fine Santo Domingo Pueblo tradition using the technique of mosaic inlay to combine carefully cut pieces of shell and stone tiles which are affixed to a foundation layer of jet. She's used the popular Santo Domingo black and white "checkerboard" along the bottom edge of the earrings with two larger tiles bisecting the top portion of the earring. On Sterling wires.
