This lavish squash blossom necklace by Navajo silversmith Julia Etsity has seven stones set on the naja pendant, twelve more stones set on the beaded strands in conjuction with the individual squash blossoms and two more stones set on the post earrings. Made in a floral design which was popularized in the post-WWII period and into the 1970's, this necklace features "Zuni cut" stones with black matrix. In addition to the silver leaves used as decoration, this relies on wire scrollwork which provides perfect complement and balance. Post earrings accompany the necklace and make this a nicely integrated jewelry set.
