This is a style of ring that Herman Smtih has been making for years. This consists of a fine stone set in a smooth bezel wrapped with twist wire and employing raindrop wire above and below the stone as a border highlighting element. Like this ring, Herman often flanks the stone with a vertical line of starred buttons affixed to the split shank. This is a classic Traditional Revival styling which further pays tribute to earlier Navajo designs which were often set with gorgeous stones of petrified wood such as this richly complex stone.
Hallmarked HS and stamped Sterling inside the shank.
