We've been buying Harrison Bitsue's sandcast jewelry since the mid-nineties. His pieces (mostly bracelets and belt buckles) are particularly detailed and graceful designs. He often adds stampwork to his finished castings.
This nicely-detailed piece is the product of careful casting in a well-made, hand-carved sandcast mould. After buffing his finished cast piece, a patina was added by applying an oxidizing agent to the surface of the silver to highlight the curves, nooks and crannies. This piece bears Harrison's hallmark "H. Bit's". Prior to 2005, Harrison hallmarked with the initials "HB" only.
