We've been buying Harrison Bitsue's sandcast jewelry since the mid-nineties. His pieces (mostly bracelets and belt buckles) are particularly detailed and graceful designs. He often adds stampwork to his finished castings.
This finely detailed piece has gentle curves mixed with softened ridges. Notice that this is a rendering of corn stalks emanating from the center of the bracelet and "growing" to the terminals. A patina was added by applying an oxidizing agent to the surface of the silver. This piece bears Harrison's hallmark "H. Bit's". Prior to 2005, Harrison hallmarked with the initials "HB" only. Width of bracelet in front: 1 3/4" Width at terminals: 1 1/4" Terminal to terminal: 5 1/8" Gap: 1"
Total inside circumference (including gap): 6 1/8" |
