We've been buying Harrison Bitsue's sandcast jewelry since the mid-nineties. His pieces (mostly bracelets and belt buckles) are particularly detailed and graceful designs. He often adds stampwork to his finished castings.
This nicely-detailed piece is the product of careful casting in a well-made, hand-carved sandcast mould. After buffing his finished cast piece, a patina was added by applying an oxidizing agent to the surface of the silver to highlight the curves, nooks and crannies. Harrison set an oval stone of rich blue natural Kingman turquoise in this piece. Made for a small wrist.
