We've been buying Harrison Bitsue's sandcast jewelry since the mid-nineties. His pieces (mostly bracelets and belt buckles) are particularly detailed and graceful designs. He often adds stampwork to his finished castings.
This nicely-detailed piece is the product of careful casting in a well-made, hand-carved sandcast mould. After buffing his finished cast piece, a patina was added by applying an oxidizing agent to the surface of the silver to highlight the curves, nooks and crannies. Harrison set a free-form stone of rich blue natural Kingman turquoise in this piece. Made for a small wrist.
