We initially made contact with Navajo silversmith Guy Hoskie in December 2005 when we bought some magnificent cluster pendants from him. We have continued to accumulate his work which is always made with fine natural stones.

This is a bracelet made for us by Guy with stones that we furnished him. First, we match out our sets of stones. Based on the size and linear wrap of the set, we determine the appropriate size for the bracelet and the width required. Guy does the rest; he decides whether the stones call for a scupted- or straight-edged cuff and he determines the decorative aspects of stampwork, appliqueés, raindrops, etc. Each set of stones is absolutely unique and from this springs a unique bracelet in every instance. Don't ask us to "...make one like such-and-such in my size." There is but one of each of these and none is an imitation of another.

This five-stone graduated row bracelet is set with beautifully cut natural, untreated Turquoise Mountain turquoise from Arizona. Conrad Armijo cut these thick, well-polished stones. Large bracelets like this are hard to come by because it requires a set of large stones which wrap all the way around such a cuff. In such a case, the set of stones determines the size of the bracelet. Each time we have these large pieces made, we end up getting an enthusiastic e-mail from the buyer who tells us that he's never found anything quite so nice in such a large size. Once again, this piece lives up to our very high standards of materials and workmanship. If you've got the wrist to fit this, you won't be disappointed! The cuff is made from heavy 12-gauge Sterling and the stampwork is deep and precise. The silverwork has a nice patina which gives it an old-style look and, though this looks like an antique, it is fresh from the hammer in April 2010.

Guy's hallmark consists of his initials "G" and "H" with the word "Sterling" stamped between the letters of his initials.
