Gene Nataan is an accomplished Navajo silversmith whose work we've been showcasing on our website since 2004. We've watched Gene develop as a silversmith over the years, both in terms of his mastery of smithing techniques and his development of a style that is all his own.
This bracelet is set with a teardrop of natural, untreated Royston turquoise from Nevada. The stone is set in a smooth bezel wrapped with twist wire. Large starred button appliquées mark the equatorial center of the cuff with small raindrops interspersed between these buttons. Rows of smaller starred buttons highlight the deep stampwork which decorates the sculpted edge of the cuff. Rich with texture and nicely oxidized, this bracelet fully illustrates the spirit of Navajo Traditional Revival jewelry.
