Gary Reeves was born in Gallup, New Mexico in 1962. He is the older brother of renowned silversmith Sunshine Reeves and the younger brother of David Reeves (now deceased), who was so instrumental in teaching the craft to both Gary and Sunshine, as well as their half-brothers Darrel and Andy Cadman. Gary has been smithing silver since the age of twelve. Gary's work, like that of his brother Sunshine, is present in the collections of the Heard Museum in Phoenix and Gary has won numerous awards for his work.
This indestructible ring is made from 12-gauge Sterling. The sculpted edges are painstakingly cut by hand with a jeweler's saw. An appliquée in the shape of a traditional Navajo belt buckle is affixed to the front of the shank and has at its center a diamond-shaped "bump up." The remaining decorative stampwork is stamped very deep in the silver. No small effort is put into making a ring like this and you could wear this every day of your life without a chance of damaging it. We won't re-size these, nor attempt to stretch them.
Hallmarked "G.Reeves" in script and stamped "Sterling" inside.
