This is a splendid ring made by Navajo smith Floyd Parkhurst. He used a free-form stone of natural, untreated Bisbee turquoise to set in his handmade notched bezel. The stone is set in a shallow shadowbox which has a beveled edge decorated by saw and file work. The shank of the ring is formed by a length of low-dome wire which is split into three narrower bands before attaching to the ring back. We can't stress enough the quality of this stone and the fine silversmithing so clearly evidenced in the handmade bezel and beautifully made borderwork.
Hallmarked with a paw with an F on it and stamped Sterling on the ring back.
