Navajo brothers Filbert, Derrick and Lee Brown all work in a similar style, often creating row bracelets which are characterized by deep stampwork, a slim line and excellent workmanship.
This is a classic Navajo western buckle made by Filbert Brown with deep-stamped, stylized eagle feathers surrounding the stone and other traditional decorative stampwork adorning the oval. The center of the buckle is domed and the outside edge is scalloped. A clear blue free-form stone of natural, untreated Turquoise Mountain turquoise from Arizona is set in a straight-edged bezel at the center of this piece. Made from solid fourteen gauge Sterling, this is a nice piece of handmade work with a fine stone.
Hallmarked "FB" and stamped "Sterling" on back. Stone: 9/16" x 5/16" Overall dimensions: 3 1/8" x 2 3/4" Fits 1 1/2" width belt (standard western belt)
