Born in Gallup, New Mexico in 1971, Derrick Gordon is a prolific young silversmith who is the father of three daughters (the youngest born in early 2003). He learned to smith silver from his uncle Delbert Gordon whose work is also shown on our site.
This is a classic construction for a row bracelet and many of the smiths we know make bracelets in this style. The cuff consists of two lengths of heavy-gauge twist wire forming the edges of the cuff, while a length of square wire is sandwiched between the twist wire. It makes for good sparkle, solid construction and a comfortable bracelet. This graduated row bracelet is set with various shapes of rich purple spiny oyster; a near-square in the center flanked by two round-cornered rectangles and two ovals set in both vertical and horizontal orientation on each side.
Hallmarked "Derrick" and stamped "Sterling" on the inside.
