Derrick Gordon Fox Turquoise Ring size 8 3/4

Born in Gallup, New Mexico in 1971, Derrick Gordon is a prolific young silversmith who is the father of three daughters (the youngest born earlier in 2003). He learned to smith silver from his uncle Delbert Gordon. He is accomplished in many aspects of the trade and makes fine rings, bracelets, earrings, pins, pendants and more.

This is a ring style that is done both by Derrick Gordon and his uncle Delbert. The shank is split into four narrower bands before attaching to the ring back and nicely fanned scallop appliqués adorn the sides over the split shank. This wider, split shank greatly inhibits the ring from rolling on the finger. At the back of the shank the ring narrows considerably to a width of 3/16", which makes for comfortable wearing. This is a thick, long oval of natural Fox turquoise from Nevada set in a straight-edged bezel. Twist wire surrounds the bezel and forms the edge of the ring face. This is very clean work in a durable ring set with a premium stone.

Stamped "Sterling" and hallmarked "Derrick" on the inside of the shank.

Stone: 1 5/16" x 9/16"          Ring face: 1 7/16" x 11/16"

Size 8 3/4
