Delbert Gordon Sugilite Bracelet size 7"

Born in Fort Defiance, Arizona in 1955, Delbert Gordon grew up in Tohatchi, New Mexico. He is a self-taught silversmith and has been instrumental in teaching many youngsters the craft, most notably his nephew Derrick Gordon whose rings and bracelets appear alongside his uncle's on this website.

This slimline, split-cuff design is set with a pale purple oval of natural Sugilite. Convex, button appliquées wrapped with twist wire frame the stone and starred buttons provide further texture to the deeply grooved stampwork. An oxidizing agent was rubbed into the stampwork and then the piece was lightly buffed to remove any excess of this product while leaving the stampwork darkened in contrast to the overall matte finish of the Sterling.

Hallmarked with a large capital "D" with a spur extending from it and "Gordon" in smaller letters beneath surrounded by a trailing banner. Also stamped "Sterling" inside.

Stone: 1/2" x 3/8"

Width of cuff at stone: 1/2"           Width of cuff at terminals: 5/16"

Terminal to terminal: 5 3/4"           Gap: 1 1/4"

Total inside circumference (including gap): 7"
