This is a slimline cuff made for a smaller wrist. The cuff is split in front and spread wider to hold the stone setting and the fanned scallop appliquées which frame the stone along with vertical twists of heavy wire and starred buttons. The stone is a high-domed rectangle of natural Royston turquoise from Nevada which is set in a straight-edged bezel wrapped with twist wire.
An oxidizing agent was rubbed into the stampwork and then the piece was lightly buffed to remove any excess of this product while leaving the stampwork darkened in contrast to the overall high polish of the Sterling.
Hallmarked with a large capital "D" with a spur extending from it and "Gordon" in smaller letters beneath surrounded by a trailing banner. Also stamped "Sterling" inside.
