Born in Fort Defiance, Arizona in 1955, Delbert Gordon grew up in Tohatchi, New Mexico. He is a self-taught silversmith and occasionally works with gold. He has been instrumental in teaching many youngsters the craft, most notably his nephew Derrick Gordon whose rings and bracelets appear alongside his uncle's on this website.
This uniform-width cuff features a rich array of spiny oyster and pink coral. The long center oval of purple spiny oyster is flanked by ovals of red-pink spiny oyster and triangles of burnt-orange spiny oyster. Small rounds of pink coral are set to the far left and right and highlighted by oval and crescent-shaped appliquées.The spiny oyster and coral are set in straight-edged bezels wrapped with twist wire and raindrops are interspersed between these settings.Grooved stampwork forms the border along the edges of the cuff. Hallmarked with a large capital "D" with a spur extending from it and "Gordon" in smaller letters beneath surrounded by a trailing banner. Also stamped "Sterling" inside.
