This is one in a group of large buckles we commissioned Delbert to make for us. We chose large, stunning stones and had these made in a large format. A standard-sized buckle for a Western belt is approximately 3" x 2". Kicking up the size of the buckle allows a much larger stone to be set and this is a buckle for a large man. If, for example, you wear a size 8" bracelet or larger, this is the appropriate relative size buckle for you; standard-sized buckles look puny and inconsequential on you. This gorgeous, traditional-style buckle is a sculpted-edge rectangular shape. Elongated oval repoussée forms radiate from the stone. At its center is set a large, thick oval stone of natural, untreated Broken Arrow Variscite from Nevada. This stone, which weighs 40.5 carats, exhibits a rich emerald glassy quality. Deep, traditional stampwork decorates this classic buckle.
