Darryl Becenti is an accomplished Navajo silversmith who is particularly good at combining various stamps to produce complex, evocative stampwork designs. When setting turquoise in his jewelry, he always uses fine, natural stones.
This wide, gorgeous bracelet is set with a large oval stone of natural, untreated Royston turquoise from Nevada. This fine-grained, clear blue turquoise is marbled with deep brown matrix and polished to a lustrous, glassy finish. Small, cut-out, domed appliquées frame this stone, which is additionally complemented by starred buttons and arcs of raindrops. This perfect stone is set in a smooth bezel which is wrapped with twist wire. Traditional stampwork decorates the sculpted-edge cuff to the terminals.
Hallmarked D. Becenti over an arrow in flight and stamped Sterling inside.
