This classic oval buckle has all the details of fine silversmithing. Darrel defined the oval's outside edge with an undulating scallop cut above and below the stone, while eagle feathers form the rounded edges to left and right of the stone. The stampwork is deep and impeccably executed. The buckle is domed, in keeping with classic elements of design, and stylized
repoussée eagle feathers surround the stone. The stone is a pretty pale blue-green round stone of natural Royston turquoise from Nevada set in a straight-edged bezel wrapped with twist wire.
Hallmarked "D. Cadman" and stamped "Sterling" with a ram's head on back.

Standard-width western belts can be either 1 3/8" wide or 1 1/2" wide. This piece can take either size. When buying a belt to mount your new buckle, the appropriate length is 2" larger than your measured waist size (if you have a 30" waist, buy a 32" belt). Many of our clients don't have a western wear store close to them. Recently we've found a good selection of belts at reasonable prices at Shepler's Westernwear website and Cavender's . |
