This is a new design of Darrel's introduced in the first quarter of 2007. The rectangular buckle with scalloped edges is decorated by deep, precise stampwork with appliquées of Mimbres motifs further decorating its surface (learn more about the Mimbres). In addition to the stylized Mimbres representations of animals, Darrel also added appliquées of teepees and arrows in flight. At the center of this buckle is a beautifully cut rectangle of natural, untreated Pilot Mountain turquoise from Nevada set in a straight-edged bezel. The execution of the smithing techniques is superb.
