This is one of the rare inlay items that Chris makes for men. Of course, women can certainly wear this, too. This is a stunning piece of inlay work mounted on round straps braided from brown pigskin and terminating in complementary inlaid tips and drops. The inlay work is a modernist geometric design, beautifully executed using intricately fitted polished tiles made from a variety of materials. In addition to the inlay work, Chris added small rounds of Sleeping Beauty turquoise and Mediterranean red coral which add polka dot texture to his design. The inlay work is done on a foundation of green serpentine, both on the main slide and on the free-swinging drops. This presents a wonderful contrast of color in respect to the mostly darker materials employed in the inlay work and the natural-tan look of the light-colored pigskin straps. This is wholly handmade and there will never be another exactly like this.
Etched on back of the free-swinging drops are the initials CTN for Christopher Thomas Nieto and SDP for Santo Domingo Pueblo.
