Calvin Martinez is consistently one of our favorite silversmiths and excels in every one of his smithing endeavors. His designs are particularly compelling, melding the tenets of Navajo Traditional Revival jewelry with his unique capacity to hybridize the traditional.
This pendant is set with a free-form stone of natural, untreated Royston turquoise from Nevada. The stone is set in a handmade, notched bezel wrapped with twist wire. The border shows a series of lines radiating from the center which form stylized eagle feathers. The bale on this will accomodate Erma Arviso's antiqued Sterling beads up to 4 mm. diameter.
Hallmarked C.MTZ inside an arrowhead and stamped Navajo and Sterling on back.
