Ava Marie Coriz strung all sorts of necklaces using many techniques and a variety of materials; from stringing disk beads to creating inlaid shell pendants, her work ranged across styles. She died in March of 2011 just a few weeks after we bought these earrings. This is one of the last necklaces we bought from her in January 2011.
This long, full-length necklace made by Ava Marie Coriz consists of four strands of square purple spiny oyster beads strung in combination with fine-diameter jet heishi. This is very deep purple spiny oyster with very little of the white inner portion of the shell showing. Finished with Sterling cones and a large Sterling catch.
