Navajo silversmith Albert Jake was born in 1959 at Zuni Pueblo in New Mexico. He has been smithing silver for over fifteen years. Albert is renowned for the precise detail and execution of his work and for the fine natural stones which he always employs in his pieces.
This is a classically simple traditional Navajo bracelet characterized by a deep-stamped, uniform-width cuff set with a premium natural, untreated turquoise stone. This piece features a very thick free-form stone of pale blue Royston turquoise from Nevada with green cloud edging the matrix. The stone is set in a wide 3/16" bezel wrapped with twist wire. Appliqués frame the stone to left and right and are seemingly tacked to the cuff by raindrops. This bracelet was made in that hard-to-find smaller wrist size which so many of our clients repeatedly request.
