Albert Jake was born in 1959 at Zuni Pueblo in New Mexico. He has been smithing silver for over fifteen years and is also a sand painter and makes pottery. We began buying Albert's pieces in 1999. He always uses fine quality stones in his work.
This ring holds an egg-shaped stone of natural, untreated Pilot Mountain turquoise from Nevada . The stone is set in a 3/16" straight-edged bezel and wrapped with twist wire which forms the border of the ring face. The shank is wide on the sides and where it attaches to the ring back. A vertical row of four starred buttons flanks the stone to left and right. Stampwork adorns the sides of the shank before it tapers dramatically in back to assure comfort and good fit.
Attention!!! This is a large ring and prospective buyers should pay particular attention to the dimensions cited below to get a clear idea of the size of the stone and the ring. Take two minutes to draw a sketch using these dimensions so that you can see the actual size of the stone and if it will suit your requirements.
