Albert Jake was born in 1959 at Zuni Pueblo in New Mexico. He has been smithing silver for over fifteen years. He makes all manner of nice jewelry, including rings, bracelets, bolos, pendants and always uses fine quality stones in his work.
This ring holds a large, thick free-form stone of natural Chinese turquoise. This stone is pale blue with complex patterning of matrix across its entire expanse. The stone shows a superb cut and it is set in a straight-edged bezel wrapped with twist wire. The shank is gently tapered to its narrowest point in back. A band of deep stampwork marks the center of the band.
This ring is hallmarked "A" and stamped "Sterling" on the inside of the shank.
