Navajo silversmith Albert Jake was born in 1959 at Zuni Pueblo in New Mexico. He has been smithing silver for over twenty years. Albert is renowned for the precise detail and execution of his work and for the fine natural stones which he always employs in his pieces.

This gorgeous pendant and earring set was made by Albert around 2007, as evidenced by the simple hallmark of a capital "A." He had broken his "A Jake" stamp and was using a simple capital A to hallmark until he got a new hallmark stamp made. He set a very thick piece of Chinese turquoise with an undulating surface in the pendant. The post earrings are set with perfectly matched stones to the pendant and are also thick stones. This is beautifully spiderwebbed stone with Albert's usual fine stampwork decorating the borders of the pendant and earrings. Given the size of the bale on the pendant, this fits perfectly on Erma Arviso's Sterling beads of 6 mm. diameter. We chose not to include beads in this set because so many of our clients will already have the beads necessary for this set. And if you don't already have the beads, you should be able to pick the length best suited to you; but 6 mm. diameter is the right size so that the pendant will slide smoothly across the beads.
