Albert Jake was born in 1959 at Zuni Pueblo in New Mexico. He has been smithing silver for over fifteen years and is also a sand painter and makes pottery. We began buying Albert's pieces in 1999. He always uses fine quality stones in his work.
This ring by Navajo silversmith Albert Jake is set with a long oval stone of natural, untreated Broken Arrow Variscite from Nevada. The stone is set in a straight-edged bezel wrapped with twist wire (which forms the border of the ring face). The shank splits into four narrower bands before attaching to the ring back. At the back of the shank, it tapers dramatically to afford a comfortable fit.
Hallmarked "A JAKE" and stamped "Sterling" inside the shank.
